Banana Sheet Cake Recipe

Sheet cakes have been one of my favorite go-to recipes if I ever needed something that was quick and easy to make. They are also perfect for big gatherings, or if you have a large family like mine.

One of my favorite family go-to sheet cake recipes is the Banna Sheet Cake. This recipe is a wonderful banana flavor with sweetness and all the right flavors you’ll love. It’s perfect for those ripen bananas you need to use up immediately.

My family loves when I serve this for breakfast or even a dessert for after dinner. Be sure everyone gets a taste because this banana sheet cake is gone before you know it!

Ingredients
  

Banana Sheet Cake

  • ½ cup Butter softened
  • cup Sugar
  • 2 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • tsp All spice
  • 1 cup Mashed ripe bananas
  • ½ cup Milk
  • 2 Eggs

Glaze

  • ¼ cup Butter
  • cup Powder sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2-3 tbsp boiling water

Instructions
 

Banana Sheet Cake

  • Cream the butter and sugar: Place softened butter and sugar into a large mixing bowl. Mix using a hand mixer or stand mixer on medium speed for 1-2 minutes, or until the mixutre is pale yellow, light, and fluffy.
  • Add one egg at a time.
  • Add the vanilla.
  • Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and all-spice together. Aternate wet and dry ingredients to avoid over mixing and mixing. You can do this by stirring after each addition until all ingredients are combined into te mixture.
  • In a sperate bowl mash the bananas and milk then add to the mixture.
  • Then spread the mixture into a 15 x 10 greased pan or jelly roll pan.
  • Bake at 350° F for 20-30 minutes.
  • Let the banana sheet cake cool down then spread or drizzle the glaze on.
