
School is almost out in a couple of weeks. The kids will be home for the summertime. What activities to do you plan on doing with them or signing them up for? If you are wanting to have a frugal summer with some fun activities with your kids, we got you covered!
Check out these fun, free kid programs that will make the summer vacation a blast.
1. Bowl for free

Every summer there are bowling lanes that participate by coming together to offer a unique program for kids called Kids Bowl Free. You can register your kids and they can play 2 free games every day all summer long. The coupons will be received through your email every week. however, you will need to pay for the shoe rentals. 2. Skate for free

A similar program operates the same as Kids Bowl Free, except for Kids Skate Free. This is a complimentary skating pass for children ages 12 and under. Check out Kids Skate Free to see if only locating skating rinks are participating in this program!
3. Free or cheap movies

Seeing the newest movies at the theater this summer is a fun activity for the kids, however, it can be rather expensive. Movie theaters sometimes offer up a less expensive option for families during the summer. Cinemark offers a Summer Movie Clubhouse where you just pay $1 per movie for the kids or pre-pay $5 for 10 movies. Regal Entertainment also offers up a Summer Movie Express. This program is with $1 admission. Check out your local movie theater to see if they offer a similar summer program for the kids!
4. Reading clubs

Encourage your children to read at their local library. Several libraries offer up summer programs for reading. There are prizes and incentives in these programs as well. Check out your local library and see what they offer!

5. Explore the outdoors

With the weather being nicer, there is no excuse not to go out and explore the local parks and trails in your area. There are many and the great thing is these places are completely free to visit! It’s a great day out to go and have a picnic lunch.

6. Visit the museums

There are many museums that offer up FREE or even half price admission days. Check with your local museums and see if they offer any of these deals during the summer. Do some research by visiting the websites of the museums in your area and see if they have an online calendar or even give them a call and ask!
