For The Cake
- 1 box lemon or yellow cake mix water, vegetable oil, and eggs are called for on the cake mix box
- ½ can frozen lemonade concentrate (12-oz size) thawed
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
For The Frosting
- 8 oz. cream cheese softened
- ½ cup butter softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp frozen lemonade conenctrate thawed
- pinch of salt
For The Cake
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Follow the cake mix as directed on the box in a 13x9-inch pan. Then cool for 15 minutes.
Pierce the top of the warm cake every ½ inch with a long fork. You may need to wipe the fork to reduce sticking.
Mix the lemonade concentrate and powdered sugar for the cake. Then drizzle the lemonade mixture evenly over the top of the cake. Cover and refrigerate about 2 hours or until chilled.
For The Frosting
Beat the cream cheese and butter until it is light and fluffy.
Gradually add the powdered sugar and lemonade concentrate. Add a pinch of salt. Mix until light and fluffy.
Spread the frosting over the chilled cake.
- To make this cake even easier, you can skip making the frosting and purchase a whipped fluffy frosting or a fluffy lemon frosting instead.
- Store covered in the refrigerator.
