Summer has come and gone in a flash. Our kids are heading back to school, which means some of us parents are about to get that long sought after freedom we have all been waiting for!

Thankfully, many companies out there recognize that teachers spend a lot of their own time and money. They offer teachers exclusive discounts to help them out.

Educational Discounts

Hobby Lobby – Get 10% off on in-store purchases when paying with a check or bank card provided by the school. 

Izzit – Teachers can receive free high-quality educational videos each year. 

JoAnn Fabrics – Need craft supplies? Teachers can get 15% off in-store with a valid school ID.

Magazine Mall – Get special discounts on magazine subscriptions if you are a teacher by calling customer service to see if your school is signed up to receive any available discounts. 

Michael’s – Save up to 15% off with a valid school ID.

New York Times – Educators who like to stay up to date can save 50% off on the Times.

Petco – Teachers can apply for Pets in the Classroom program that helps them get supplies products and funding for classroom pets at low costs.

Bose– Recieve special discounts for teachers. Just contact them for inquiries and pricing.

HP – Teachers can get up to 10% when they shop through HP’s Academic Purchase program. 

PBS – Teachers can sign up with PBS LearningMedia to receive free educational videos, interactive, lesson plans, and more for their classroom.

Sprint – Teachers may be able to save up to 20% off their personal Sprint bill if they are employed by a school that participates in Sprint’s program.

Office Supplies

Crayola – Sign up for the Gold Star Teacher Program to get discounts and opportunities to test new products and lesson plans. Teachers will also get 15% off sitewide on full-priced products through the end of Teacher Appreciation Week. 

FedEx Office  – Teachers can get 15% off almost all products and services through FedEx’s National Educators Discount Program.

Home Depot – Teachers who show their tax-exempt paperwork will have to pay no sales tax on their purchases. This is only valid in stores.

Lowe’s – Teachers who show their tax-exempt paperwork and valid ID will have to pay no sales tax on their purchases. This is only valid in stores.

Office Depot/Office Max – Teachers can join MaxPerks Rewards and earn $10 reward for every $75 spent. 

Scholastic – Visit the site’s Teacher Store to received 50 books for $50 during Teacher Appreciation Week. Teachers can also get 25% off many items and up to 50% off on other sales and deals.

Staples – Joining Staples Teacher Rewards program can allow teachers to be able to earn rewards for their classroom purchases and more, including up to 5% back in rewards on everything and 10% on teaching and art supplies.

Target – Get 10% off your entire purchase with an International Teacher ID Card.

Retail Store Discounts

Barnes & Nobles – Teachers can save 20% off the publisher’s list price on all purchases for their classroom use and up to 25% off during Educator Appreciation Days.

The Container Store – Teachers can sign up with The Container Store’s Organized Teacher program that offers special discounts throughout the year to help keep their classroom organized. 

Half Price Books – Teachers can apply for a Teacher & Librarian Discount Card and save 10% off their purchase. 

Lakeshore Learning – Sign up with Lakeshore Learning’s Loyalty Club to save 15% and receive special savings monthly. 

The Loft – Recieve 15% off your purchase when you show your valid teacher ID in stores.

Party City – Get discounts when teachers provide a letter, signed by an officer from the school or organization on official letterhead. All purchases must be paid by a check or credit card in the name of that company or organization in order to receive the discounts.

Rothy’s – Teachers can receive 20% off selected styles from Rothy’s.
