Amazon Money Saving Hacks

Whenever I run out of an item, need to buy a gift, my needs need something, or I’m just looking for something I want to buy, I always head to Amazon first. How about you? Where do you go?

I head over to Amazon because I want to see if they have the item I’m looking for, what the price is, and how fast can I get it.

Amazon has quickly become a household name and known for their fast shipping and affordable prices. For those frugal moms like me, who love money-saving hacks and discovering new ones, I found that you can save even more at Amazon!

Let’s see if you know any of these Amazon money-saving hacks. Maybe you will learn a new one today!

1. Amazon Outlet

Amazon has their own outlet section on their website. You can find thousands of discounted clearance and overstocked items. You can also get to Amazon’s Outlet by searching Amazon outlet in the search bar on their website. It will then pull up their outlet so you can start shopping through their different outlet categories.

2. Amazon Subscribe & Save

You can save up to 15% and receive FREE shipping on many products that you find on Amazon. There are no fees and you can cancel your Amazon Subscribe & Save anytime. This is great for those essential items you need, such as beauty products, cleaning supplies, pet supplies, baby diapers, auto supplies, office supplies, and more! You can get the items sent to you automatically every month, bi-monthly, and six months.

3. Amazon Warehouse

Open-box and used products are sold from the Amazon Warehouse. These items are often still in good condition but are sold at a lower-priced since they were opened, used minimally, or the box was slightly damaged. You can get free shipping if you have Amazon Prime and a 30-day return policy if you are a Prime member.

4. Add-On Items

Add-on items are a great way to get amazing deals. Amazon Add-on Items are available for purchase with over $25 of items shipped by Amazon to the same address. This doesn’t include gift cards. All you need to do is look for the Add-on Item logo when you are shopping on their website!

5. Book Deals

Amazon will sometimes have great deals when it comes to books. They will have a book deal where you can get $5 off a $15, $20, or $25 or more print book order. If there are some print books you are wanting, this is a great time to save those books you are wanting to purchase and wait until the deal shows up.

6. American Express Card

If you have an American Express Card you can link it to your Amazon account to use membership reward points to cover your entire purchase or parts of the order. When your American Express card is linked you can see and be able to use your available membership reward points at checkout. Throughout different times of the year, there will be 20% off your Amazon purchase when you use your American Express card.

7. Amazon Prime

With Amazon Prime membership you get many different perks. You get free delivery (sometimes same day courier service), exclusive deals and discounts before anyone else, exclusive deals on their Whole Foods Market and %5 back with Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Card, Prime Video including movies and TV shows, free games and loot with Twitch Prime, and over two million songs that are ad-free!

8. Almost Free Gift Cards

Do you have American Express, MasterCard, or Visa gift cards lying around with some money left on them? You can actually load the amount of money left on those gift cards onto your Amazon account so you can use them as Amazon gift cards.

Here is how you can do this:

  1. Go to Amazon Reload Your Balance page.
  2. Enter the amount on your gift card.
  3. Sign in to your Amazon account
  4. Click on the ‘Edit’ in the payment method box.
  5. Enter your gift card information.
  6. Select your gift card as the payment method and then click ‘Done’.
  7. You will then be redirected back to the Reload Your Balance page to verify the amount on the gift cad.

9. Amazon Treasure Truck

The Treasure Truck offers users discount daily deals in certain cities found throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. Amazon picks hand-picked, must-have items at a time, and shares them over a text. You can pick it up the same day from the location near you. When Amazon picks one item they will then send you a text message revealing that days’ offer, you can buy it in the Amazon app and pick it up the same day!

10. No Rush Shipping Offers

Amazon gives you the option to use their “Free No-Rush Shipping” offer. This option appears at checkout and when you choose it you will receive your order within six business days and earn rewards on future purchases or receive discounts immediately. Only Amazon Prime members can receive reward offers, all customers are eligible to receive discounts.

11. Amazon Coupons

Amazon offers its own coupons for their website. You can find what the current coupons are by searching ‘Amazon coupons’ on their website in their search bar or following this link here. You can save up on Home & Kitchen, Groceries, Health & Daily Essentials, Electronics, Fashion, and more.

You can also see coupons available for items if you are searching for an item to purchase. There will be a small banner next to the items name indicating there is a coupon available for that item. You will want to click on the coupon banner before going to checkout.

12. Amazon Mom/Family

Amazon Mom/Family is a membership program geared towards moms with newborns to toddler-aged children. You can save up to 20% on all sorts of baby essential items when you set up 5 subscriptions per month with Subscribe & Save, such as diapers, baby food, and more. There is also a %15 baby registry completion discount. Amazon will even send you a surprise selection of full, travel, and sample size products for new-parents-to-be and baby!

13. Gift Lists

Are you always asking for a birthday or Christmas list from family and friends? You can easily create a gift list on Amazon and send the gift list to whoever is wanting gift ideas for your birthday or Christmas. You can continuously add to this gift list all year round!

14. Amazon Return Pallets

Amazon using a liquidation company called Direct Liquidation when it comes to its returned problems by selling them in bulk wholesale. Direct Liquidation allows you to purchase Amazon pallets to suit most kinds of retail businesses with a wide range of Amazon brand products. Many small businesses are turning to Direct Liquidation to supply their businesses with merchandise without spending a fortune.
