When the calendar turned to 2020 no one expected that 3 months into our year we would suddenly find ourselves quarantined to our homes, schools closed for the remainder of the year, business closing all around us, and a huge percentage of us working from home. That alone is enough to overwhelm us moms and put a screeching halt to any idea of spring cleaning in 2020.
Then again there has never been a better time in my own home to begin Spring cleaning. Where else am I going? We should title this years spring cleaning “The Quarantine Spring Cleaning” .
Do the words spring cleaning overwhelm you? Are you thinking I can barely keep up with the day-to-day chores, the zillions of meals I’m cooking, the fact that Im now the home teacher schooling my children, let alone think about taking the time to spring clean my entire home.
Who ever said spring cleaning had to be accomplished in one day or even one week for that matter?
What if I told you not only do I have three options that show you how you can simply spring clean in an hour a day and I found some of the best products to not only save you time but will simplify both your spring cleaning and your future cleaning times.
Moms, all I ask is that you stop overwhelming your to do list and try scheduling one hour each day to do your spring cleaning using one of the below options and in a matter of days you are going to discover that the term spring cleaning no longer overwhelms you.
One Hour A Day options:
Option #1: One room per hour – Create a spring-cleaning schedule assigning one room per day. Make a list of the tasks you would like to accomplish in each room ahead of time so that on the assigned day you are prepared to spend one hour checking off your task list as you spring clean that room
Need help in making a task list? Click here to get my free room by room spring cleaning check lists. These lists are comprehensive and more then one hour of cleaning but they will give you an idea of possible tasks to add to your spring cleaning list.
Option #2 – One chore per hour – Many of the spring cleaning chores we do are repeated from room to room so rather then doing a room by room cleaning try picking a chore for each day by creating a list of the various chores you would like to accomplish through out your spring cleaning.
Some of those chores may include washing the windows, dusting your home from top to bottom, dusting baseboards, thoroughly cleaning your appliances, vacuuming including under furniture etc. Schedule one chore per day and spend one hour working on that chore going from room to room. Some chores may take more then one day, you may want to schedule two days for those chores.
You can even use my DIY fill in the blank spring cleaning organizer to create your list for the entire house or room by room.

Option #3: Family Hour – Get the whole family involved in the spring cleaning process. Make a list of chores that other family members can assist in, then schedule multiple Spring cleaning days assigning family members one hour each of chores.
Be sure to assign age appropriate chores, this is a great opportunity to begin teaching younger children how to clean. Click here for a list of age appropriate chores.

Now that you are inspired by these one hour options and no longer feeling overwhelmed let me continue to inspire you with some of my favorite cleaning tools that I am also giving away:
Though we are spring cleaning right now the truth is cleaning has no season! HOOVER has a wide range of tools to simplify your cleaning routine all year round!
There is no better sound to this cleaning fanatic mammas heart then hearing the buzz of my cordless Hoover ONEPWR Blade Max. It can vacuum hard floors, carpets, rugs and stairs and when I use the attachments, I can do upholstery, drapes, blinds and ceiling (cobwebs in corners – maybe that’s just my house. LOL), and let’s not forget the car interior and be reminded it’s CORDLESS. I’m all about that.
Have you ever found a product you just can not stop talking about? The ONEPWR FloorMate Jet is that for me. I seriously will navigate a conversation with another mom towards cleaning just so I can tell her about this magical cleaning tool. It not only mops all hard surface floors. Are you ready for this it WASHES and VACUUMS in one step. Talk about simplifying my life. Give up the expensive cups of coffee, a new outfit, or sell some of your clutter to do whatever it takes to purchase this magical cleaning tool. You can thank me later.
Guess what? I love these so much that I’m giving away to one mama her CHOICE of the ONEPWR FloorMate Jet Cordless Hard Floor Cleaner Kit ($299) or the ONEPWR Blade Max Cordless Vacuum Kit ($349).
If my love for these hasn’t inspired you to put these on your wish list let me tell you a few more amazing details because there are not just TWO Hoover ONE PWR products there are 9 (nine) and guess what?

The 9 products in the Hoover ONEPWR family share the same powerful, rechargeable lithium ion battery, giving you a faster and easier cleaning routine – without the hassle of a cord or being stranded in the middle of a job without power.
The benefit of the ONEPWR battery platform is that when one battery runs out, you can replace it with a second battery and complete your cleaning routine. (Some other products require you to set the entire unit aside while it charges, forcing you to take a break from cleaning.)
Most people will use more than one ONEPWR battery to complete their cleaning routine especially this cleaning fanatics like this mama.
