Boy, do I love getting toys for my children that I actually want to play with myself! I must confess that I sometimes play with their toys at night after bedtime. My favorites are building systems. I can spend hours playing with building systems (so can my kids), and building systems that also shoot stuff… solid gold. So, you can imagine how excited I was when I saw Geomagworld’s Mechanics Challenges.
Mechanics combines the forces of magnetism and gravity with a world of mechanical structures, capable of stimulating creativity, inventiveness and ingenuity. Created thanks to the work of Geomagworld’s R&D department, the line offers innovative solutions that expand the concept of magnetic construction, constantly introducing new elements that can enrich the playtime experience. Innovations in the line include the “gravity engine”, which uses the weight of the Geomag balls to trigger and set in motion the mechanisms of the constructions, and the “Gauss cannon”, which is based on the principle of magnetic acceleration. 
Mechanics Challenge consists of a 95-piece set in which the construction toy has an element of challenge thrown into the mix. Once the model has been properly recreated, the challenge begins, thanks to the magnetic cannon, inspired by the principles formulated by the famous German scientist Gauss, which launches the balls hurtling along their adrenaline-filled path towards the target. 
The laws of physics, when skillfully applied to these Mechanics toys, make this line particularly STEM-friendly, capable of stimulating scientific insights, from the simplest principles up to very high levels. Composed of magnetic bars, steel balls and elements of different shapes such as cylinders, bearings and modular platforms, the Mechanics models trigger chain reactions for endless fun.
