Buddy’s Bedtime Battery was inspired by Christina’s experiences when her kids were toddlers, constantly getting out of their beds once their bedtime routine was over. Like all little people with big ideas, Buddy lives in a bright and busy world of imaginative play. Follow along as he and his robo-family help power all of his robot body parts down for bed, one BEEP! at a time. This story is inspired by Progressive Muscle Relaxation, a technique Christina learned in a High School wellness class and never forgot.
Sorry Grown-Ups, You Can’t Go To School! debuted at #4 on The New York Times Bestseller list this summer and is already helping kids all over the country get ready for their big day. Why do back-to-school books focus on characters who are feeling Sad, Shy or Scared? Christina asked herself this very question when her two kids were getting ready for Preschool and Kindergarten, and she was trying NOT to focus on feeling Sad, Shy or Scared! This fun, high energy picture book turns the typical back-to-school story format upside down, with Buddy and his sister Lady politely rejecting their grown-ups’ (and dog Bow Wow’s) attempts to join morning meeting, read stories on the cozy carpet and do science experiments.
