If you’re dreaming big but have a more modest budget then don’t worry, there are ways you can make your home look as luxurious as any Kardashian pad or celebrity estate, without breaking the bank!

Read on for some fun tips and tricks to transform your home.

Bring the outdoors in

Filling your home with nature is an instant and easy way to make your home seem lavish and expensive, you could choose to place fresh flower displays in the hallway and living room, or you could buy house plants & tropicals from The Tree Center to give your home an instant lift. Surrounding yourself with greenery is not only good for your state of mind, but it’s scientifically proven that having plants in your house is good for your health! And that’s certainly worth its weight in gold!

Creating a lavish bedroom

The bedroom isn’t just a place where you sleep. It says a lot about you and your personality. Your bed should take centre stage, so it might be time to finally get rid of that old mattress and treat yourself to a supportive mattress that will help you sleep in luxury too.

Your bed should be fit for a King/Queen, so a lavish, plush headboard is a must. Layer your bed with thick, plump pillows (being careful of any allergies you might have) and invest in some Egyptian cotton sheets. If you have a TV in your bedroom, consider hiding it inside a beautiful cabinet rather than letting it diminish the style you’re trying to create.

Your bathroom

Don’t worry, you won’t have to rip out your current bathroom suite and fit a jacuzzi bath to add a touch of glamour and expense. It’s the little things in the bathroom that will make all the difference. Start by decluttering. Try to think of your bathroom as an exclusive spa. Which means all those rubber ducks and stacks of toilet rolls will need to be well hidden. Consider some new storage options to keep the surfaces clear of clutter.

Have some large candles or an oil diffuser resting by piles of fluffy white towels. And don’t forget to wipe all those toothpaste marks off the bathroom mirror!

Your lighting options

There’s nothing that says luxury like good, quality lighting. So now is the time to finally rid yourself of that old light fixture and dusty old lampshade. Light, bright rooms scream elegance and luxury. opt for some modern, sleek and sculptural light fittings that go with your décor. Installing a dimmer switch is also preferable and are the key to mood lighting.

Don’t forget to add large lamps to your side tables too and even try fitting lampshades that are lined with a gold or chrome colour for that extra touch of glamour.
