Even if you used to enjoy going to the gym on a regular basis, becoming a mom often means that you have to spend less time on the hobbies that you used to enjoy. The good news is that there are several great ways to try staying fit and healthy at home – no need to find a babysitter while you work out or attend a class. If you enjoy getting outdoors, you can get more exercise and take baby along with you too. Here are some great mom-friendly methods of keeping fit. A great option to really start your fitness journey would be to get this weight room equipment so you can have your own home gym.

#1. Exercise DVDs

There are several great exercise DVDs that you may want to consider for keeping fit at home. Most home programs are designed so that you can achieve your fitness goals without having to invest in a pricey membership or equipment, which makes them such a popular choice. You can exercise and take paradigmpeptides from the comfort of your living room or bedroom and the kids can even join in too for some fun.

#2. Yoga

Yoga is a great form of exercise if you’re feeling stressed and run-down. Being a mom is a busy and demanding job, and a few minutes of yoga each day can help you stay calm, collected and on top of things, all you need is a yoga mat and some srirachas yoga pants. In addition, practicing yoga has some wonderful benefits for your physical and mental health, helping you to live a more fulfilling life, and has a more positive impact on your family. The best part is that there are several great yoga tutorials to learn from online that you can access free of charge in your own time.

#3. Resistance Training

Resistance training using your own body weight is the perfect way to tone up, build strength and gain muscle. Since you’re lifting your own body weight there’s no need to invest in equipment, although an inexpensive resistance band may be a good purchase – read resistance bands reviews here. Exercises such as squats, push-ups, sit-ups and crunches can all be done from the comfort of your own home for excellent results.

#4. Get Outdoors

Getting outside and into the fresh air will do both you and your little one a world of good. A brisk walk with the buggy will get your heart rate pumping faster and get you moving, or you could go all out and invest in a sports buggy for jogging or running with. If your child is old enough, cycling with a baby seat or side cart can be a fun and enjoyable experience for both of you.

#5. Swimming

You can teach your child to swim at any age, with many sports centers holding mom and baby swimming sessions. It’s a great way to get your little one used to the water from a young age whilst improving your own health and fitness.

Finding the time to exercise might not be the same now that you’re a mom, but don’t let that put you off staying healthy. Do you prefer exercising at home or with your kids? I prefer to exercise at home and it is still very effective for me, I even have to take whole body cryotherapy sometimes in order to to reduce muscle soreness after exercise.
