You are going to feel overwhelmed and that’s okay
It’s normal to feel overwhelmed with this new chapter in your life. Remind yourself it’s going to be okay and focus on what you believe is important.
You will be scared sometimes
It’s a new journey that sometimes can feel scary at times, but don’t doubt yourself. You are able to do this and will be an amazing mother.
Ask for help if you need it
If you feel like you are all alone, don’t because you are not. There is nothing wrong to need help from someone else. Moms need help sometimes.
Reminder to take a minute to yourself
You might have heard the secret when you become a mother that you give all of your time to someone who needs you around the clock. Sometimes it’s easy to give all of your energy to caring for this new miracle in your life. Yes, you can feel an overwhelming emotion of love and helping someone grow into a wonderful person.
Then there are times it will be hard. Lots of times it might feel like it will be hard, but remember you need to take time to step back relax and some things for yourself. There is nothing wrong with taking time to yourself. Don’t feel guilty at all.
You can get better
In this new journey of motherhood, you will make mistakes. It’s okay to make mistakes. You can learn from them, and you can do better next time. Motherhood is about learning about yourself and your newborn baby.
