Let’s talk about the chalk board trend. I love it! I think it makes the best DIY projects and it gives me the ooie-gooies I get from being in trendy coffee shop wherever I see one. But with that said, I hate chalk. Yes. Hate. Ever since 1st grade when they used to pass out these mini chalk boards with our personal stub of chalk I haven’t been able to get near it. 20 little first graders all screeching chalk across a chalk board at the same time. If the surface is porus, it will have small holes which can absorb the liquid chalk ink making it difficult to completely erase them. If your not sure, it is always best to test a small area. To erase, just just a damp cloth and you have a fresh space to create with again.
