My children believed the magic of Santa for years, maybe even a little to long thanks to their older Brother who discovered at a young age that Santa did not really deliver the gifts under his tree come Christmas morning. So, we decided upon his discovery that his job as the older brother in the home was to help keep the magic alive for his 4 younger siblings . I never realized that in some ways we actually gave him the role of Santa. Until I read this article “A Lovely, Non-Traumatizing Way To Break The News About Santa To Your Kids” that just published in the Huffington Post. Where when it’s time to share the news of Santas existence or non-existence you actually help your kids keep the magic going by being a Santa to others.
What a great tradition to begin with your children. Even if they already have heard that Santa really is not the one who places all the colorful wrapped gifts under the tree. You can still begin giving them the opportunity to bring a little Santa Magic to someones world this Christmas Season by being a Santa.
