Brands Give Back Flash Sale

gymboreeSchoola is a young organization with ambitious plans. Founded just three years ago by Stacey Boyd, parent, former teacher and school principal, this organization is in the business of giving back.

After seeing firsthand how children who struggled in math came alive in music class and witnessing how art, physical education and foreign language classes positively shaped students’ lives, Stacey knew she had to do something to support these underfunded programs. So she created a clothing drive during the last (and busiest) week of school. Parents sent in their gently used clothing and the clothes were listed online at low prices. Schools then received money from every item sold and the proceeds funded programs critical to the success of kids. That initial program happened in the 2012-2013 school year.

Flash forward to today: Schoola is up to 15,000 schools strong and is bringing new paints to art classes, new instruments to the orchestra and new books to the libraries across the country.

About Malala Fund:

Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest-ever Nobel Prize laureate. Her voice made her a target for the Taliban. Inspired and led by Malala’s example, the Malala Fund works to secure girls’ rights to a minimum of 12 years of quality education, particularly in the Global South.
