It’s never too early to start planning for Christmas, and this guide is designed to help. If you’ve got kids, one of the best things about Christmas is filling up their stockings for them to open as soon as they wake up. Here’s a little stocking filler inspo for you!
A Book
Books are brilliant stocking fillers. They’re an inexpensive gift to give, but they are so effective. They can help your children to develop skills, and even just give them something to wind down with. You’ll find that the more your child reads, the better their imagination and communication skills become.
Gelli Baff
Whether your child has a love for baths or hates them, Gelli baff will make them so much better. It turns the bath into a fun, colourful gel so that your child can spend ages in there playing make believe. I’ve been tempted to try some of this myself!
A Board Game
Board games seem to be disappearing, what with all of the technology and online games we have these days. Don’t let that happen and get your child a board game this Christmas. You have so many choices; Cluedo, Scrabble, Monopoly, and more. Many of them will help your child to develop skills too, unlike most computer games.
Tsum Tsum Plush
If your child loves cuddly toys, the Tsum tsum plush is the new big thing. They are Japanese style cuddly toys that you can get in a range of sizes and characters, so there’s bound to be one to suit your child.

Chocolates
Chocolates are an inexpensive treat perfect for all stockings. If you can’t eat lots of yummy chocolate at Christmas time, then when can you?
Water Bottle
It’s always cold around Christmas time, so a water bottle is a must for keeping your child warm. Get them one with a cute design to make a great little gift for their stocking.
Colouring Books/Felts
Colouring is a great way to wind down before bed, or any time of day. I know adults who are even getting in on the colouring scene! Treat your child to some good colours and a book this Christmas and they’ll always have something to do.
Puzzle Books
Puzzle books are a brilliant way to develop your child’s brain power. You have crosswords, sudoku, and so many more options. They’re bound to enjoy completing these puzzles, and you could even do them together to get in some quality bonding time. You can’t beat the sense of accomplishment once you’ve completed a puzzle!
A Money Box
Kids often get a lot of money given to them at this time of year, as well as presents. This leaves them with a lot of money and not much else to buy! By investing in a money box for them, they can learn the value of saving their money, and spend it on something else later on down the line.
