It’s beach time and our family had an incredible time enjoying the sun this past weekend. Sometimes I get overwhelmed by the idea of taking our family to the beach because of all the prep to get everything ready. But once we are there it’s always well worth it. There is so much to explore and some great rest and relaxation enjoying the sun. I’m determined to have lots of family time at the beach this summer and I’m looking for turnkey solutions to have and share unstoppable fun.
One way I like to plan ahead is to be stocked up on great sunscreen for the whole family and Banana Boat® has me covered. I like to do a mixture of SPF levels for our family. Here are some great tips for sunscreen application:
- Be sure to apply 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) of sunscreen to you and your kids’ entire bodies 30 minutes before going outside and reapply every two hours or immediately after swimming or excessive sweating.
- A tip for the kids – make sunscreen application fun. Make up lyrics to your own melody to sing while applying sunscreen. It keeps them engaged and makes it feel like less of a chore.
- As all moms know, planning ahead is key! This definitely applies with sunscreen. Before heading to your family outing, consider how long you will be outside and how many times everyone will need to reapply –remember to bring sunscreen for ALL outdoor activities, hikes, bike rides, swimming or even just a meal out in the backyard.
