WIN – Fat Ash Soap Co

Disclaimer: I have teamed up with Fat Ash Soap Co in support of this campaign. We received compensation for participation in this campaign. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

soapsizecomparison300x300Original soap was from mixing lye (water filtered through hardwood ashes) and any combination animal fats.  Simple ingredients produced a suitable soap that was used for all cleaning needs. It was soft, greasy and produced no lather. Fat Ash Soap Co strives to provide folks with soap made the old-fashioned way but with modern food-grade lye.
We render our own fats from small local farms for our ‘Fat Ash’ signature bar. We chose 100% pure time-tested, gentle and soothing Lavender essential oil for our scented bars. There are no fancy-pants dyes or any other unnecessary ingredients. Our soap is simple and pure. We are proud of the natural color of our bars which vary with every batch. Our hand-cut bars average 9.5 ounces and can be cut into 2 or 3 ‘modern-sized’ bars. Good old-fashioned purity, quality and value.

We also have a vegan bar ‘Big Fat Lye’ that is made with grape seed, avocado, coconut, apricot kernel & pumpkin seed oils. For the folks that want a premium exfoliating bar we offer ‘Fat Face’, made with palm, coconut & lard, oatmeal, coffee and superfatted with rice bran oil for its emollient qualities. This bar is excellent for both scrubbing and stimulating. Soon we will offer a truly wonderful shaving bar ‘Fat Ash Lather’ for those who prefer the soapy shave.

  1. Love the ingredients listed in these soaps. Thanks for offering the giveaway! I’d love to try them.

  2. I keep hearing about how homemade soaps are so much better than store bought. I need to look into this!
