I love getting out for walks. It helps keep me grounded and refreshed in the midst of a busy schedule. I walk weekly with my best friend and regularly with my husband. This past week my hubby and I walked together during a vacation in Santa Rosa, CA. Walking together offers a great time for us to get on the same page, enjoy the outdoors, have some “us time”, and of course, get a great workout! When we get healthy “us time”, our marriage is more vibrant and our family stays stable and grounded.
From carpooling the kids, to tackling endless loads of laundry, to getting a healthy dinner on the table, moms do a lot for their family and often sacrifice “us time” with their husbands. It’s time to “walk-out” on the mommy madness – at least for one night a month and get healthy “us time” for an enriched marriage.
To help you stay on track with your workout goals, I’d like to introduce the Omron Alvita Wireless Activity Tracker (HJ-327T), a petite, powerful and affordable activity tracker. It allows you to transfer your fitness data wirelessly to your smartphone with their free Omron Fitness App. Featuring Bluetooth® Smart technology, the Alvita Wireless Tracker records regular steps, aerobic steps, distance and calories burned so you can set realistic goals and check progress along the way. The tracker is only $45, perfect for women not wanting to spend a ton of money on a fitness tracking device.
My husband and I have really gotten into using our tracker over the last month. We love knowing how far we’ve gone especially when we are trying out new trails. Having the ability to track how much we accomplish towards our exercise goals is a rewarding and a fulfilling end to our walks. It feels great when we find we’ve walked more than we’ve realized and burned a lot of calories while enriching our marriage at the same time!
Here’s to “us time”, a strong marriage, and a great spring workout!
