Tips for Eating Out with Kids in London

londonLondon is full of some really great places in which you can take your kids for some food, and relax knowing that all family members will enjoy it. Though we all know that eating out with little ones can be fairly tough; after all, they can be tough critics, and what they eat may depend on what mood they’re in! In the UK’s busiest city, this can feel even harder.

.
However, it doesn’t need to be. We’ve come up with some tips we think you’ll hopefully find useful when it comes to giving your family something great to eat during your day out in the capital.

.
Do your research beforehand
When dining out with your other half, it’s easy to just walk along the streets of London and step into whichever restaurant you like the look of, but that might not be the best tactic if you’re taking the little ones. You might be better off doing some research about the best places to eat in London with kids, for example, and you could check out sites like Timeout for real customer, family reviews to see whether it’s worth your time and effort or not.

.
Look into themed restaurants
If you really want to give your kids a treat, you’ll be pleased to know that London has a number of themed restaurants that your kids will go crazy for. From Hollywood styled restaurants to ones with a rainforest theme, there will be something for all kids and all imaginations. There’s a great list of some of the best ones here.

.
Make sure you’re clued up on the restaurant’s facilities
Especially if you’re eating out with very little kids, it’s a good idea to research how family friendly the place is you’re thinking of going to, before you actually do. Check things like whether they provide high chairs and the option of heating up milk etc, so you don’t find yourself a bit stuck when you arrive.

.
Look at things you can do nearby afterwards or before eating
It might be a good idea to make a bit more of a day or an evening of it when eating out in London, especially if it’s not something you do very often as a family. Therefore why not look into the area of the place that you’re going to, to see what attractions are nearby for you to visit before or after your food? Or you could go to somewhere like the o2 Arena which has a number of restaurants inside and also a bowling alley and a cinema, which are firm favourites with kids of all ages. That way, you’ll know you won’t have to trundle very far to your next activity, too.

.
It never hurts to book
London is one of the busiest cities in the world, so it’s no surprise that its restaurants get pretty jam packed. It’s therefore a good idea to book whenever you can so as not to be disappointed, and so you know you’re guaranteed a table.
