A note from gDiapers Co-founder and mom of two, Kim Graham-Nye
There are lots of aspects of my job that I love, but the anticipated birth of Princess Kate and Prince William’s second child brings two of my favorite elements together: the birth of a baby and designing gPants. And so, in correlation with the birth of England’s new baby, we are excited to introduce the gPrince and gPrincess design. Of course all of our gPants are designed for new babies, but rarely do we get to design with a specific baby in mind. In fact, we have only done it once before – the royal purple colored gRegal velour gPants, with the gold embroidered “g”, created for the firstborn heir to the throne (who we soon came to know as George).
The moment we heard Kate was pregnant, we knew we would create a limited edition pair of gPants. This time however, it would be for a Prince or Princess rather than a future King or Queen. And as soon as our team said “Princess,” I knew exactly what I wanted: soft pink, seer sucker, and ruffles. It was a clear vision! Never has a design come to fruition so quickly and effortlessly. Without any advance scoop on whether England’s new star will be a boy or girl, we made a version for each, both equally fit for royalty – not just for those who live in a palace but all our precious little Princes and Princesses around the world. Every baby is a gift and worthy of regal celebration. Our little ones represent a future full of incredible talent and positive global impact! And in that spirit, we present the gPrince and gPrincess gPants, which are not just in anticipation and excitement of a new royal arrival but also a celebration of all babies worldwide and their unique “royalness.”
