intent app 2My grandmother just passed away a couple of weeks ago and our family is in the process of grieving. She was an incredible woman and it’s truly been an honor to be her granddaughter.  She and Grandpa spent 30 some years in South America as missionaries and were full of incredible tales of their life spent serving others. As a legacy, she wrote a book for our family sharing her life story. It’s a precious gift that will be passed down in our family for generations. I’ve already lost my grandparents on the other side of my family, and sadly, with them a whole generation of incredible stories that I’m slowly losing the details of, stories my children will never know. I have one video clip of my Grandfather sharing a story and that video clip is now one of my greatest treasures.

intent appKeeping the family stories alive is important but sometimes it feels difficult to be intentional in collecting them. A great new resource to help is the Intent App. The Intent App helps to facilitate and capture via video intentional conversations with loved one’s with the help of conversation starters. Within the “talk about” and “Interview” sections they feature great questions like “what is the most important thing you’ve ever learned in life?” and “what can young people learn from your generation?”

One great feature of this app is that it saves memory on your smartphone. You can upload videos to save space and record videos from now on without it counting against the memory on your phone. At this time, the app is only available on iPhones (IOS) but they are building for android in a couple of months. Click here to download the Intent App now for freeintent!
