Reader Bee screenshot Learning to read is a big step in a child’s development that has lasting benefits. It’s important as parents to invest in our child’s reading with our time and energy to help them gain confidence and succeed in their education. The most important element to our children’s reading process is our home involvement in the teaching process- luckily, there are a lot of great tools to help us on that journey.

Reader Bee is committed to help teach young children to become confident readers through a simplified approach to traditional phonics along with providing tools that spark young learners’ curiosity. The product iPad apps, Reader Bee and the Story Tree and Reader Bee’s First Story Maker, guides preschoolers and kindergarteners through the basics of sounds, letters and words to reading fluency. The Honeycomb Keyboard lets young children see and write rhyming words (cat, hat, sat) and sight words (with, the, and, is) with one swipe through the letters, helping them learn to read as well as write.

Their unique honeycomb shaped keyboard adds a fun twist for kids and is a good stepping stone prior to learning a full keyboard. To start they give children just enough letters for the project at hand to keep the process from becoming overwhelming. Both Reader Bee and the Story Tree and Reader Bee’s First Story Maker are available for download from the iTunes App store for under $2.00.
