Doughnuts are a weekly treat in our home. Each Tuesday as we head home after serving in the Zona Norte area of Tijuana playing with kids, sharing stories with them and encouraging their moms in their journey as mothers. We pull our vans over at a local doughnut shop, the doors swing open and our children head into the Mexican bakery, grabbing a pizza pan and tongs to begin choosing their sweet treat to hold them over till we arrive back on campus for dinner. Week after week this tradition never seems to get old. The only thing missing at the local Mexican bakery is my favorite ” Doughnut holes” I have not found one place in Mexico that makes these easy to pop in your mouth treats. Thus my search for DIY Doughnut hole recipes.
