Birthday Cake in a Can

NOTE: Remember before you bake anything inside of a can to make sure that the metal is safe to bake in.

Look for food manufactures that don’t use BPA lined cans for this type of project.

You can always bake a cake in a 9×13 pan and use a clean can to cut the cakes.

  1. I just had a flashback about 35 years to when my Mam-ma would bake a cake in a can. I think it might have been a coffee can but it wasn’t a gallon size. She’d cut the bottom out of the can when the cake was done (and cooled” and push it through to make nice even round slices of cake. I had forgotten all about that until I read this post.
