Absorbed and Exhausted

“I’m ex-haust-ed,” I complained to the my hubby when he was away on a business trip this past summer.

He sympathetically inquired, “Are the boys giving you a hard time?”

“No, they’ve been amazing.  I stayed up until 3am watching Season 2 of Downton Abbey and I’m totally exhausted.” We couldn’t contain our laughter…my hubby because his wife is crazy. Me because I get slap happy when I’m tired. We both knew that I was exhausted because I was absorbed in Downton Abbey. (PS: Season 4 premiers January 5, 2014!)

I can quickly and easily get absorbed and exhausted in the day to day, or in the episode to episode.

Do you feel absorbed and exhausted?
What do you feel absorbed and exhausted by or from?

God put so many personal verses in the Bible to make sure that I keep it real, don’t get side tracked and keep the main thing the main thing.  The Bible is personal and applicable to my everyday life….even in my TV viewing absorption.

Do you feel absorbed and exhausted?
What do you feel absorbed and exhausted by or from?
Are you a Downton Abbey fan?

  1. LOL!!! I love Downton Abbey. My sister-in-law got me hooked this summer and I watched the all 3 seasons on Amazon Prime in 2 months ( a little here, a little there while the kids were occupied). Can’t wait for season 4!!

and more importantly, I totally agree that it is so easy to get caught up in the day to day and forget about God until it’s convenient.

Thanks so much for your posts. I truly enjoy them.
