Master To Do List Creation With HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11 {#HPFamilyTime #ad}

to-do-listIt’s Day two of our Home work assignments using our new HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11  as we continue to be part of the #HPFamily Time campaign-  Let’s talk Apps and getting organized.  Yes, I said Apps the HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11 lets you download Apps,  with a touch of the screen  you can access and use to bring organization  to your family.

Today we choose the Master “To-Do” List project.  I have been a list person since I was a little girl however I tend to make zillions of lists and am in need of creating a Master “To-Do” List the  HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11  is the perfect laptop to begin this project.

I can customize and  create a master To-Do list that houses all of my items in one place with the use of Apps that I can download to our new laptop that will now help me organize my  Do This/Buy This/Need This/ Cook This/Fix This  lists.  Hopefully this new system using an online app such as Cozi  will not only help me to  never forget anything ag

ain but I will no longer have zillions of lists laying around hoping not to get misplaced.  It will all now be neatly stored on an App in my  HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Why Lists:

Keeping lists – Lists allow me to document and track all the Do This/Buy This/Need This/ Cook This/Fix This that I need to allowing me to empty them out of my brain and onto a list. Keeping lists helps me to prioritize my day with  what I need to do and in the end I accomplish more by seeing the big picture of my lists.

No Forgetting – Lists are my daily, week and even monthly reminder of what Do This/Buy This/Need This/ Cook This/Fix This I need to do allowing me to set goals  and moderate my progress in accomplishing them by not forgetting about the things needing my attention.

Brain Dump – When my brain is on overload thinking of all the Do This/Buy This/Need This/ Cook This/Fix This that I need to accomplish I cam not the happiest mom. wife or person so using lists helps me to dump all the things filling my brain up into a list and not carry it with me through out the day.

Accomplishing it – Lists help me to plan and organize my daily and weekly time so not to overload myself or my family.  We are able o see where we can fit projects in, what is a priority and what are teh MUST do’s and schedule them into available time.

Now that we know WHY lists – let’s chat about the process of creating lists:

Creating a list:

Choose your Master lists:  My lists consist of : To Do (personal. family, ministry, house),  To Obtain, To Go,  To Call, Honey Do,  Must Try (my family FUN bucket list).  Look at what types of lists you usually make or need to make then use those as your list titles.  Include Personal, family, house and work or ministry along with FUN

System: Do you prefer to use a word type doc in your computer or  an online organizing manager App  so that  you can access from any online device.  Do you like Charts, grids or the good’ole plain document you just begun typing a list on?    Do you want an online one that you can place actual calendar reminders of things you need to do on specific dates?  choose what works for you.

Check it off: Now that you have a system, have created your lists you are on your way to checking off your many lists of Do This/Buy This/Need This/ Cook This/Fix This.  Be sue if you are using a daily check list along with your master lists that you carry over to the next day the things you did not fully accomplish .  Be sure to look at your Master list often to keep tack of things you need to cross off or things that may need to be moved to higher priority

  1. I’m amazed, I must say. Seldom do I encounter a blog that’s equally educative and entertaining,
    and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head.
    The problem is something that too few men and women are speaking intelligently about.

    Now i’m very happy that I stumbled across this during my hunt for something relating to this.
