Following through with previous posts I made about Beano® and the Be Natural Virtual Cookoff (which I entered! and didn’t make it as a finalist..sad), however I was looking through the Beano® site last night and I thought I’d share with you one of their recipes. All of the Beano® recipes contain gas-inducing food that Beano® can treat. Now this is all a little embarrassing to discuss so openly..in fact, I avoided talking about Beano® personally in my last few posts because gas + talking to others does not equal a great conversation. HOWEVER, let’s be honest here! If gas-inducing foods don’t effect you, they probably effect your husband or child or even grandpa. And one of the great things about Beano® is that it’s main-ingredient is a natural enzyme (just like the ones already active in your body!) that works to begin preventing gas before it even starts..meaning, you take it before the meal..or, in other words, it’s not one of those last-straw, I-hope-this-works-soon-types of medication. I suppose that’s all just to say that we are human, we eat food, we like to eat food and we must admit that gaseous foods exist, though they can be moderated with something easy and safe like Beano®!
Now, onto a little recipe from the Beano® Healthy Recipes page. Whenever I look at new recipes these days, I’m always under the guise of my children growing older, beginning to make their own food, becoming aware of what works for their body and what doesn’t. So, for example, my oldest has begun to eat more vegetarian-like and so he enjoys when I put together easy, vegetarian dishes that the whole family can enjoy! I found this great Vegetable Pasta Salad recipe on the Healthy Recipes page:
