Over the years my husband and I would claim Thursdays as our date night – a night out away from the kids to have complete adult conversation. However our weekly announcement of date night to our kids resulted in “Why can’t we go?”, “We never get to go with you!” , “What time will you be home?”, “What do we have to eat for dinner?” with the continued begging and pleading of us to cancel our weekly date night. However as the mom and dad who are also a husband and wife we know the importance of taking time for just the two of us. SO how do we keep the kids happy and end the kids attempt to veto our date nights?
