I’ve always wondered who came up with all the uses of baking soda..I don’t think we’ll ever know. But at least we have it! Here’s just a few ways I’ve made my summer easy and fresh with Arm & Hammer Baking Soda:
1. after a long family hike, with complaints of sore and blistered feet, I dissolve a little powder in a bowl of warm water and take a dip..works to soften the skin, clean off the dirt and freshen the smell
2. how about those smelly shoes? I sprinkle a little powder into each shoe and let it sit overnight, then pour out the remaining powder in the morning. I’m amazed every time how fresh my kids sneakers smell
3. and finally the big camping secret: use a washcloth to wet those itchy mosquito bites and apply a little powder to the irritated area. give it a little while and see if it takes away that annoying summer-evening pain
And finally, one more helpful tip to make your summer easy. Some summer’s our family takes long vacations in places where it’s hard to find the right laundry detergent and those huge, bulky bottles of detergent are just too heavy to pack.
