On Tuesday, I had an amazing dinner with my friend Pam. We shared about life, faith and running…home girl ran a 10 mile race and then a 5K the weekend following! We found yet again that we’re kindred hearts. We both love God, bling, our friends and want to encourage women’s hearts for God’s glory!
On Wednesday, I had an amazing power walk with my friend Laura. We talked, shared and vented as we normally do, about our lives, our trials and triumphs. Laura gets me (and therefore needs prayer!) and reminded me of something I said on our walk, “There’s a fine line between ghetto and grace when there’s a pattern of wack!” See? She gets me.
On Thursday, I asked friends to pray for my Pop and his heart surgery. They prayed and he came through surgery well. He work and still did embarrassing things so there’s no sign of a stroke. I’m so grateful he’s okay, even as inappropriate as he can be. I’m also grateful he had recovery room nurse that “got” him.
On Friday, I had an amazing early morning run with my running partner Jess. We covered a huge range of topics and unruly bedhead under our hats! I run further when I’m next to Jess because the above simple math is very true. WE are greater than me.
In life, friendships, family, work/ministry and health God relentlessly demonstrated the power of this equation, that you + me = WE and WE is greater than me.
I thank God that you and me make WE and WE ARE GREATER together. The Big G proves this in Ecclesiastes 4:12:
Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Do you know why that cord of three strands is not quickly broken? Because together, WE ARE STRONGER!
I’d really love to know where/when you’ve experienced the strengthening power of “WE”?
