Use wood dowels that are about 1″ in diameter and cut them into pieces about 10″ long.
Drill a hole in the center and glue a recycled wire hanger into the hole using Aleenes Liquid Fusion. Be sure to straighten the hanger before inserting.
Let the little ones loose to paint, draw, color designs on the sticks. It may be a bit easier for them to decorate the sticks before you glue the hanger into the drilled hole.
