My ways are often not God’s ways.
And very often, my perspectives aren’t either.
All too often when I’m faced with a very big something…it feels like a huge, impossible mountain to climb.
And I get stuck.
But you see, that’s where I’m wrong.
I’m only seeing the very big something from my perspective.
God’s perspective of the same mountain is, “What mountain?”
The mountain that you’re facing today looks big to you but tiny to God.
Your perspective and God’s perspective of the mountain look entirely different.
We love a God that has, can and will continue to move mountains!
Luke 3:5 says, “The valleys will be filled, and the mountains and hills made level. The curves will be straightened, and the rough places made smooth.”
You’re mountain…it’s got nothing on God!
How does the mountain in front of you look now?
*My heartfelt thanks to nature photographer and cousin extraordinaire, Meredith Hodgkiss, for the pictures in today’s post!
Here’s a simple prayer to speak to your mountain: God, help me see the mountain I face today as you see it. Give me your vision, strength and presence. I pray this in your name Jesus, AMEN!
