My Life Ticker

Mornings are tough.

Your hair is doing that weird thing it sometimes does, you spill coffee down your shirt, you stub your toe – all while getting the kids ready for school or soccer practice. You may pause for a moment and think, “today is not going to be my day.”

But, as a mom, there isn’t time to spend the rest of your day thinking about a bad morning. Lately, I’ve been trying to focus my energy on the things that really matter to me – things like spending time with my kids and conquering my bucket list.

When you fill your life with what’s important, you’re happier and more productive…and that sort of thing is contagious. Recently, I reflected on what matters most with my Life Ticker.

Life Ticker is a tool from Vanguard that you can link to your Facebook and turn your photos into a scrolling ticker. The ticker describes the things you want more or less of in your life, and encourages you to really focus on what’s important. Ticker3_Trisha_061113_e

I created my Life Ticker in just  minutes, enjoying some time out for this mom to just stop the craziness of my day, reflect on life and what matters. It was fun to get creative with choosing my pictures and adding in phrases of my likes, dislikes and favorite things that gives a glimpse of my life.

I would love to hear more about what matters to you and see your Life Ticker. It’s pretty quick to make and really fun.

Don’t forget, there are more important things than a bad hair day. It’s a good thing to remember in the morning.
