When you’ve got the kids in tow, choosing a holiday destination and zoning in on the right local resort takes precedence as you have to make sure it fulfils all your major check-points. Does it have family hotels? Is the food suitable for fussy eaters? Are there shops nearby? What’s the weather like? Choose a major holiday region like Bodrum, Antalya or Dalaman and you’ll find a wealth of local resorts all offering fantastic family facilities. Take Lara Beach for instance. Based in the beautiful region of Antalya, you’ll find lashings of sun, sea and sand – perfect for kids who love nothing more than building sandcastles and splashing about in the Mediterranean shallows! And when it’s time to ramp up the tempo a little, take the kids off to the city of Antalya for the day. It’s just a few kilometres away and is a great place to go shopping, soak up some sights and tuck into tasty treats in its fabulous cafes and restaurants.

 

Along Turkey’s Mediterranean coastline you’ll find many wonderful and popular holiday resorts. Most resorts featured in the summer holiday brochures have great family hotels, with stacks of entertainment and amenities to keep the little ones entertained. Designated family hotels, such as those offered through Thomas Cook, feature great facilities like kids’ clubs – which is a great way to let the kids have fun in a safe and protected environment, while you head off for a day’s touring or sightseeing.

 

So when it comes to family holidays, Turkey really does tick plenty of boxes – and then some…
