If you follow us on Facebook you may have seen the recent baking tip we posted about using vanilla pudding in your chocolate cookie mix. Many of our Facebook fans requested a full recipe using the following tip we posted- “The secret to great chocolate chip cookies is to follow your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe then add instant vanilla pudding mix to the dough.”
To answer that request we asked one of our 24/7 MOMS Amy Fisher Haines if she would share her recipe using instant vanilla pudding in her chocolate chip cookies with us:
Amy’s Chocolate Chip Cookies
INGREDIENTS
4 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups butter, softened
1 1/2 cups packed brown.sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 (3.4 ounces) packages instant vanilla pudding
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups semisweet chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Sift together flour & baking soda, set aside.
in a large bowl cream.together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended well. Stir in the eggs & vanilla. Blend in flour mixture. Finally stir in the chocolate chips & nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto un-greased cookie sheets.
Bake 10-12 minutes in preheated oven. Enjoy!
