Pet Responsibility Chart and Contract {Printables}

pet chartPlease mom can we get a puppy, please mom can we get a bird, please mom can we get a rat – the many begging for a pet conversations I have had with my children over the years. Always hearing how they will take full responsibility as the pet owner.  But we moms know exactly what will take place.  Puppy arrives and the kids are all in for the first few days or maybe weeks then after the newness wears off we moms get the job of  reminding our kids over and over again to live up to their end of the bargain often giving up and taking care of the pet ourselves.

How can we  change this experience?  iMOM has come up with a great way to get  kids to live up to their daily pet responsibilities wpet contractith a Pet Responsibility Chart ( free printable). The Chart helps your children learn how to care for an animal’s well-being and makes them think about the  responsibilities that come with owning a pet. This Pet Responsibility Chart is customizable so you can type in your kid’s names, your pet’s name, as well as specifically list that child’s duties related to the pet.

iMOM has also created a Pet Care Contract. Contracts help children to think first before they receive a privilege. Use the  iMOM Pet Care Contract  to remind them about  the responsibilities that come with owning a pet.
