Freezer Cooking For The Holidays – Meat Ball Appetizers

Save time and your sanity by using freezer meals for your upcoming holiday meals – Today’s Freezer Meatball Appetizer recipe  that can be made ahead and placed in the freezer ready to thaw and cook in your crock pot for a simple holiday appetizer.

Freezer Meatballs

Makes about 20 medium size meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup onion – chopped
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 T.  Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 T. parsley flakes
  • 1 t.  teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 t. pepper

Directions:

1 – Combine all ingredients except beef and mix together.
2 –  Shape into meatballs.
3 – Place on a jelly roll or other pan.
4 – Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
5- Remove from oven and drain meatballs on paper towels, allowing to cool.
6 – Once cool place in freezer bag and in to your freezer until needed.
7 – Serving day – Place frozen meatballs into crock pot and pour 1-2 bottles of your favorite BBQ sauce enough to cover the meatballs. Cook on medium for 4 to 5 hours stirring meatballs every hour.  They are ready to serve right our of the crock pot.
