Celebrating With Random Acts Of Kindness

A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves. ~Amelia Earhart

I recently came across two mom bloggers who celebrated their birthdays by doing random acts of kindness  – one act for each year they were celebrating.  The mom over at What a Ride  did 35 acts of kindness from taking treats to the local mechanics to leaving change in a vending machine click here to read about her 35 acts of kindness.  Mom blogger Thumba-Lea celebrated her day by performing 28 acts of kindness from donating blood to adopting a solider.  She also created printable  ROA cards  to go along with each act of kindness.   Click here to read about her 28 acts of kindness. Both of these mom bloggers had multiple creative ideas to inspire each of us to doing random acts of kindness.

I was intrigued by this idea and thought what a great way to model to our children servant hood , giving, kindness along with showing our appreciation and thankfulness for others without any expectations of something in return.

This idea could be used for not only our Birthdays as moms but our children’s or even an upcoming holiday such as a countdown to Thanksgiving or Christmas by doing one random act of kindness each day.

You could even use Thumba-Leas’s free random act of kindness printable cards.  Click here to get your free printables.
