My Hallmark Experience and WIN a Recordable Book!!

By Leslie Pleasants

Sometimes its the little things that mean the most to us.  The little notes left by our husbands.  The drawings from our children.  A card sent from a friend.  When someone takes the time to think about you it makes you feel good…. makes you feel loved.  Nothing can buy that or make you feel better then someone taking their time out of their day to make you feel cared about.

24/7 Moms was recently invited to Hallmark’s Moments and Milestones event in Seattle where we got to meet some of the fantastic writers and people that make Hallmark happen.  You never really think about when you go to buy a card what really goes into that card.  Believe me when I tell you it is one tough job they have.  One writer was telling us that he might put out 40 cards a day and maybe out of the 40 he might get 1 that will make it on the shelves.  But then there is also the art department that has to fit the right image to that writing.  Another lady will listen to different music depending on what kind of card she is writing to put her in that kind of mood.  Even if it is sad songs.

But what I walked away from the whole experience was the reminder.  The reminder on how easy it is to buy a card and mail it.  You don’t even have to write anything in it but your name to show someone that you are thinking about them.  Hallmarks cards can come in so many varieties from everything you need to tell someone to short and sweet.   Think about how much a card costs and how much a person means to you.  That card is really nothing when you think about it…  a few dollars to show someone you are thinking about them.   They even have cards now that are pre stamped so you don’t even have to worry about buying stamps!  So no excuses!!  🙂

Hallmark was kind enough to give us a wonderful recordable children’s book for a giveaway to one lucky winner.  You will have the option between a Princess or Cars themed book.  This is perfect for Grandpa or Grandma to record… or if your husband is in the military.  Or just you.  Your child will love this book as they hear a loved ones voice over and over again reading them a story.

All you have to do to enter the giveaway is fill out this rafflecopter form.  It’s super easy!!
