WIN – GameStop PowerUp Rewards PRO Membership

Even though the holidays are now gone with 2011, the truth is that finding the right gifts can bring on stress at any time of the year. Shopping online has definitely made it a little easier, but I’ve found that sometimes, walking into an actual store can get the job done faster whether to grab a last-minute birthday present, or a reward for a good report card. Even though they can be packed with people, stores also offer some great deals and have the added bonus of associates who can point you in the right direction to find what you’re looking for.

Video games is one gift category that can be really difficult to make sense of, with so many options! GameStop – the world’s largest multichannel video game retailer – and the ESRB  – the Entertainment Software Ratings Board, who determines those age ratings you may have noticed on the front of game boxes – are looking to help us parents out, and have shared some videos with good tips and ideas to think about:

·  The ESRB ratings are similar to the G, PG, R, etc. ratings that are given to movies, and there’s now a smartphone app that can actually describe what content is in a game.

·  Pre-owned titles & trade-ins can help you stick to a tight budget – GameStop also accepts old iPods/iPhones/iPads as trade-ins for credits (or cash).

·  Ensuring your kids are gaming safely and not accessing inappropriate content starts with us parents, but there are some tricks that can help.

Give them a look, and let GameStop know what you think in the comments.

  1. Email subscriber erinnsluka@gmail. We shop Gamestop often as I have 3to boys. Their videos as well as employees show how much they respect the art of gaming as well as ratings.

  2. I’m already a subscriber. My three sons would rather go to GameStop than any other store! I love their ratings and explanations of games because I rarely know what is current and it helps me stay on top of what the boys want to play.

  3. Have been a subscriber and twitter follower for awhile. We love Gamestop! We buy any system related items from them only. Always very knowledgable staff. Plus, the kids like the wall to wall displays of games.
