Designate a cabinet in your kitchen or add one inside your pantry for medicine so you’ll have easy access to everything from pain reliever to bandages when you need them. Make sure it’s secured with a child-safe lock.

  1. Make sure that wherever it is it’s away from heat, humidity/moisture, extreme cold, and light, whether or not you are cooking as vitamins, medicines & some non-edible products are sensitive to any or all of these things. I keep a stash of bandaids, qtips & neosporin in a tiny flat snap case/kit in my purse so it’s always handy, no matter where we are in the house.

  2. We have ours in the kitchen so that the kids could not get into it and because I’d heard somewhere that humidity in a bathroom can damage some medications.. We keep kid meds on the lower two shelves and our meds on the top two shelves for organizational purposes. It’s also important to go through every so often and clean out any old medications and properly dispose of them.
