Do your children enjoy counting down the days to upcoming holidays, birthdays or other meaningful events and activities? In my home and storage I have several various advent countdowns including Christmas, Valentines day, St. Patrick’s day, Summer and Thanksgiving. The Novotny kids enjoy counting down to fun with daily surprises from notes to trinkets. It is not always easy to store one more countdown decoration so when I saw this DIY Countdown Calendar from Visual Heart I thought what a great idea you could create this to be generic, match your home decor and use it year round to countdown upcoming fun and celebrations. She made it as her Christmas Advent countdown but with a few color modifications you could make it usable year round.
