The Alpha Hydrox Foaming Face Wash is designed for all skin types, although those with oily or problem-prone skin will truly benefit from this clarifying cleanser. This rich foaming wash leaves your skin at the proper PH for effective use of Alpha Hydrox AHA products.
The Alpha Hydrox Enhanced Lotion is proven to significantly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This rich formula leaves skin silky, soft and smooth.
The Alpha Hydrox Sheer Silk Moisturizer is sure to work for you whether you skin is dry, oily, or combination. Hydrating and protective properties help shield your skin from environmental irritants. A blend of Vitamins E and B5, along with Soy and Green Tea effectively nourish and protect your skin. A broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 15 sunscreen blocks dangerous, wrinkle-causing rays and is recommended with the use of AHAs. Your skin will be more luminous and radiate a healthy glow.
Alpha Hydrox features AHAs or alpha hydroxy acids.
AHAs are natural and are found in foods like citrus fruits, nuts and sour milk.
The AHA used in Alpha Hydrox is glycolic acid and it is made from sugarcane.
AHAs are exfoliates. They remove the top layer of dead skin cells. AHAs work by loosening the glue like bonds that hold dead skin cells to the surface.
Unlike scrubs and Dermabrasion , which also exfoliate, AHAs are gentler and less irritating to the skin. AHAs can be used once or twice a day. A scrub should never be used that much.
Since AHAs can be used so often, they “trick” the skin into thinking it needs to produce new cells. When using AHAs once or twice a day, skin is in a constant state of turnover and renewal. This means the newest healthiest skin is at the surface, not the layer of old dead skin. As a result, AHAs help to even skin tone and texture, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
