WIN- Adventures In Odyssey Book

Adventures in Odyssey stories have become favorites of the Novotny children, possibly even an addiction. First we purchased Videos ( yes, I said VHS videos), then we accumulated stories on CD’s to listen to as we drive around town, and now we are begging for the mom ( me) to read the Adventures in Odyssey book ” Strange Journey Back ” to them.

As a mom I have to admit I encourage the addiction to Adventures in Odyssey because, I appreciate the real life and faith lessons it teaches my children as they listen to these fun and intriguing stories.

Strange Journey Back is about a boy named Mark Prescott’s who is not your typical 10-year-old kid. He has a best friend who’s a girl, a mind that has to have answers, and a need to have things the way they used to be.

“Mark knew…his dad left because of him. It was his fault.” Mark Prescott is sure that’s why he and his mom had to move to the small town of Odyssey. Oh how he wishes things could return to the way they were, before his dad left. Mark hates being a newcomer. He’s not too thrilled about his only new friend and being a girl. That is, until Patti tells him about a time machine called The Imagination Station at Whit’s End. Mark figures that’s the answer to all his problems. If he can only go back in time to the day his dad left, then Mark is sure he can bring his parents back together again. But first he’s got to get past the time machine’s eccentric inventor, John Avery Whittaker, “Whit.” As Mark’s adventures unfold, he learns lessons about friendship, responsibility, and living with change.
