    1. Our 4th of July tradition is hneaidg down the street to our neighbor’s front yard where all the neighbors set up a potluck picnic and enjoy one another’s company. An older couple on that street dress up as Uncle Sam and his wife, decorate their old station wagon with a boom box on top belting out patriotic songs, and lead the neighborhood children on a parade. All the young children decorate their bikes and wagons in red, white, and blue and follow Uncle Sam. It’s such fun watching the excitement on their faces. Before each family heads out to watch the fireworks the kids take turns turning the crank on an old fashioned ice cream maker to make vanilla ice cream. There is only enough for the kids to get a small cup so the adults have to drool. One of my kids let me lick the spoon one year and it was the best ice cream I’ve ever had delicious. Happy 4th to all who celebrate it and thank you for the opportunity to win such a wonderful prize package.
