Day 1 – DIY Kool-Aid Slurpees {100 Days of Summer Fun}

Day 1 – Kool off with DIY Kool – Aid Slurpees

I remember those hot California summer days when my mom would pull the car into our local 7Eleven parking lot knowing she was about to announce it was time for a sweet and cool Slurpee – now we can create our own DIY Slurpee’s using kool-aid and the below recipe.

What flavor will you make?

Ingredients:

1 packet of Kool-Aid, your choice
2 cups club soda or water
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups crushed ice

Directions:

1. Pour Kool-Aid, sugar, and 1 cup of club soda or water into a blender. Blend on high until sugar is dissolved.

2. Add the remaining crushed ice and blend until smooth.

3. Add last cup of club soda or water, blend until fully blended.

4. Pour into a freezable container and place in the freezer for 30 minutes or until desired Slurpee consistency.

5. Call the kids in and pour into individual cups, add a straw and serve – now watch the smiles.
