However, if you are a current or new shopper at Target then you need to check out these 10 Money-Saving Secrets to Use When You Shop at Target!

1. Shop on the Right Day

Most of Targets price tag markdowns for certain departments occur on specific days of the week. If you know the schedule of when to find the best deals for what you are shopping for then you can get the best deals.

This schedule is almost good for most Targets:

Monday: Electronics, accessories, kids clothing, books, baby, and stationery
Tuesday: Domestic goods, women’s clothing, pets, and market food items
Wednesday: Men’s clothing, health & beauty, diapers, lawn & garden, and furniture
Thursday: Houseware, lingerie, shoes, toys, sporting goods, décor, and luggage
Friday: Auto, cosmetics, hardware, and jewelry

2. Price Tag Markdown Decoding

The price tag at target is full of different codes, but you can easily decode it. The lower left of the tag has the original price and the upper hand right corner shows the percentage of the markdown.

If the price tag ends in $0.06 or $0.08 then the item will be priced down again. However, this only applies if there is inventory in the store. It likely will remain on clearance for around two weeks.

If the price tag ends in $0.04 then this means the item is on final clearance and will not be marked down again. You’ll want to get this item now!

3. Shopping for the Holidays

If you are wanting some holiday decoration items or back-school items that are almost free, then wait a couple days or a few weeks after the holiday to buy them.
