What Makes Me Smile? #reasontosmile #paid

500According to my kids it’s Summer and time to create smiles with fun, I agree which  is why I have joined together with SocialMoms and Dreyer’s to participate in their Reason to Smile paid campaign

The SocialMoms #ReasonToSmile Dreyer’s campaign celebrates family and fun with all those little, “in between” moments of wonder in life that make you smile.  Our involvement in the campaign can help gift 500 life-changing surgeries to children with cleft lip and cleft palate.  Its; simple to get involved and help  – visit the Dreyer’s Facebook page  upload and share your  own photo of something that makes you smile  to Dreyer’s Facebook page and include #ReasonToSmile in the caption to help Dreyer’s gift 500 life-changing surgeries to children in need.

Next be sure to stop by the Dreyer’s Facebook page often and engage with the Dreyer’s “A Reason to Smile” posts throughout the summer.

So what makes me smile?  Each week here in Mexico we build  Homes of Hope for those in need and I have tnate keyhe opportunity to work homewith teams that arrive here – these teams consist of  families, churches, youth groups, schools, colleges , large corporations and business owners along  with  their employees. Every time a new team arrives I can feel the smile on my face knowing one more family will have a home to call their own in just 48 hours.  Imagine what it’s like to drive the dirt roads through the Colonias of Mexico seeing homes built of scraps of wood, plastic, tarps and even broken doors,  that these families found along the roadside, in dumps or possibly shared with by family and friends.  The realization hits you that these families are living on dirt floors, leaking roofs, many without water or electricity, homes that are not safe or what we would consider liveable. So when a team arrives that Smile appears on my face knowing one more family will no longer live in these conditions, one more family will sleep in a warm dry home, one more families life will forever be changed because a team of people came to build them a home.
