Freezer Cooking For The Holidays – Cranberry Sauce

Save time and your sanity by using freezer meals for your upcoming holiday recipes– Today’s freezer cranberry sauce recipe can be made ahead and placed in the freezer ready for the big holiday meal.

Cranberry Sauce

  • 4 cups fresh whole cranberries
  • 1 cup  apple cider or apple juice
  •  1 cup  sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp clove
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg

Directions

Place all ingredients in medium sized sauce pan and bring to a boil stirring as it boils.  Once it boils  turn the heat down to simmer and place  a lid on the pan., allowing it to simmer until the cranberries pop ( takes about 5 to 10 minutes).  As the sauce cools it will thicken.

 How To Freeze
Using a freezer container  – pour the cooled  cranberry sauce into it, then label and date.
