Mom Tip: To soften brown sugar after it has hardened try placing hardened brown sugar in a bowl then cover with a damp cloth. Cover the damp cloth and bowl with foil or plastic wrap and let stand at room temperature overnight or until the sugar softens. Place softened sugar in an airtight zip plastic bag.
